For one of my art journaling pages, I had to draw inspiration from a music video, and either use that song for the actual journaling or a different one. Here's the video I chose:
And the song I used:
At the end of the day, I reallyREALLY loved this prompt and will probably use it a few more times. So much creative potential. It was actually a little difficult in the beginning to look at the video and decide which elements I wanted to put on paper (I'm a perfectionist, but there's no right/wrong way to work on an art journal, so onetwothreepeaceful), but the party theme was a no-brainer and the masks. Of course, the masks. After watching the video a few times I realized I had my work cut out for me- my very own three minute inspiration board. How cool is that? Um, very.
I hope you're gearin' up for a fun weekend! The Boyfriend and I are taking a mini roadtrip to Galveston for some much needed maxin' and relaxin'. Yep, you heard me right. Ladies and gentlemen, I will FINALLY be getting some serious facetime with the salty spray and sand between my toes. Beach better be ready, I'm comin' for ya!

Oh lady, right back atcha. I want to blow up some of your photography to hang on my walls. Like errwhere I want them.
Deletei feel like i could look at your art journaling pages all day long. :) the texture elements of the zig-zag stitching, staples, & confetti delight me. after watching the video, i saw how you incorporated elements from it. so was the nail polish the glitter? have fun in galveston! i've never been there, but we did just get back from corpus christi, a couple wks. ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm a perfectionist (lame) so it took me forever to decide which video to use, and then how I was going to turn it into a spread. Let's just say the original concept didn't translate into the final product, but I'm happy with it. And yes ma'am I used glitter nailpolish for the glitter...I wasn't in a glittermess mood, haha.
DeleteHow did you like corpus?! One of my best friends lives out there, and we visited last October...completely fell in love.
we moved to texas 4 years ago, & we go to corpus every summer, so we must like it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome! Do you guys hit up Port A while you're there?
