Foreword.

I picked this up on a thrift run a few days ago while questing for the Perfect Vintage Book to turn into an art journal. DON'TFREAKOUT this beauty's not going anywhere...I flipped through the pages and um, there are projects in here that I would LOVE to do. Like tie-dye, accordion picture books, paper lanterns, silhouette portraits, wooden looms...this is a children's book.  Maybe that makes me a crazy twelve year old in 1952, but I can live with that. My absolute favorite part though, was the foreword by the author. AMEN.

  1. Oh my gosh. I need to find this glorious book and buy it for my one-day-kids. This is so awesome and I know it says the foreword was written by a lady (I assume) named Esther, I read it in that old 1950's voice of the gentleman who would narrate old cartoons. Bahaha.

    1. Hahahaaaa I did the same thing! Though when I read it out loud to my mom I did it in a British accent...it just kind of happened. And asap find a copy! I found it at Goodwill and was SO IMPRESSED with the condition. There aren't crayon marks or torn/stained anything. Basically I wish you were here so we could go through the book and make all the crafts together. JUST SAYIN. ZOMGSKYPEDATECRAFTING?! Could we do that?
