I can’t believe it’s already Tuesday; where did the weekend go?! Time flies when you’re up to your eyeballs in craft supplies (the boyfriend knows; it looked like JoAnn’s had thrown up in his living room). So much has happened in the past few months and my mom has really stepped up in an amazing way, so I wanted to give her something special, and a card just wouldn’t cut it. I used the basic idea of the mini sketchbook DIY to make a small scrapbook with some of our favorite photos, song lyrics, thanks, and words of encouragement.
I also gave her this book as a joke (but also totally functional! It's the coolest thing for busy moms!) She loved her gift (we cried together; it was awesome), and the celebration continued later with food, family, and chocolate covered strawberries. I hope everyone had a great weekend! What did you do (or if you’re a mom, receive) for Mother’s Day?
PS it’s Tunes-day over at Christine’s blog; czech out which albums are releasing today, and get the scoop on some of the coolest bands you’ve never heard of! Go! Do it!
Oh my GOSH! I love the way you styled this book, lady! SO lovely and full of love and pretty and hey, email me back. I MISS YOU. Weird, I know, but whatever. xoxo
ReplyDeleteBahaha. I think we beat a world record for longest/most frequent emails in less than 8hrs! Thanks girlie (:
DeleteLove this! It's so thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteWe helped my parents reroof their house. So that was my mom's mother's day present. But she also got flowers and hugs and cards. So she did get a little spoiled.
Um, a LITTLE spoiled?! Girlfriend, reroofing your mother's house makes the list of 'ultimate acts of love' or something. I'm serious. Your mom is one blessed woman; how special (:
Deleteso crafty, love it <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla!
